o canal pago HBO vai exibir o documentário "AFRICA UNITE", lançado nos EUA em 2008, fruto de show comemorativo de 60° aniversário do jamaicano BOB MARLEY, músico e compositor que levou o reggae a toda parte do Planeta. Marley apoiou a luta contra o apartheid, abraçou o movimento de independência no Zimbábue e foi um exemplo para a comunidade negra internacional. O show se deu no dia 06/02/2005, no Meskel Square Addis Abeba, Capital da Etiópia, com presença superior de 300 mil espectadores, tinha como objetivo inspirar as novas pessoas da África a se unir pelo futuro do continente. Foram 12 horas de música, resumidas neste documentário em 89min. Além da viúva Rita e todos os filhos músicos de Marley, apresentaram-se ainda a norte-americana Lauryn Hill, a africana do Benin Angelique Kidjo e o lendário cantor jamaicano Bob Andy. Estiveram presentes o embaixador do UNICEF, o ator norte-americano Danny Glover (da quadrilogia "Máquina Mortífera"), a Princesa Mary, neta do ex-Imperador da Etiópia Hailé Selassie e Cedella Booker, mãe de Bob Marley. No Brasil, o documentário foi exibido durante a 32ª Mostra Internacional de Cinema em São Paulo, em gravado em Outubro/2008.
